The alumni society organizes on Tuesday 25th of May in cooperation with the TUDelft, WNF, Fair Nature and Milieudefensie the third Knowledge Event - Climate Change Game.
Programme:
18:00 Welcome with (free) buffet
18:40 Opening by Freek Meulman, chairman alumni society

Additional information:
The climate game is developed by dr. Erik Pruyt together with international colleagues. In this game, participants are divided into three groups: 1) developed, 2) developing and 3) least developed countries. After each negotiation round, the groups will have to make promises about their future emissions. A system dynamics models (remember 'Systeem Denken' by Peter Luttik!) creates the long term effects on global level and its graphical reproduction.
The climate game will be chaired the three NGO's, which will sort of represent the role of Ban Ki Moon. The climate game has been played on multiple occasions, for instance by the European Environment Agency and the Environmental Protection Agency. According to Pruyt, "the game is a great way to experience the complexity of the climate problem and the negotiations in Copenhagen and the future".
We think we found a nice opportunity to combine knowledge exchange with meeting up your (old) colleagues. Please make sure you can be there! The more participants, the better the climate game and the better the evening!

It will provide you with all the information you need about the society, the events, alumni network, news and more. The website is the basis for the upcoming years and will be improved continuously. Even after students leave the AM programme they recall many situations from their education, which is something to be proud of. We are a fairly new society, and we invest in it. Our alumni build up a connection which creates social and economical advantages for both an alumnus and the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. They participate in volunteer activities. They come back to speak to students and lecturers and have contact with other alumni. See it as cooperation between both, creating mutual advantages. It is something they, voluntarily and spontaneously, invest in. The goal is to provide a tangible value that reaches all the members and non-members involved. The society board members
